| The Group's principal activity is providing investments in tobacco products, banking and financial services, printing and packaging, motor components, medical services, mining, petroleum products, food, wine and spirits and various other trade mark products. The Group's activities are concentrated mainly on the management of investments and the provision of support rather than on being involved in the day-to-day management of business units of investees. The Group has investments in distell produces , fine wines, spirits and flavoured alcoholic beverages. The Group is also involved in the financial services, including retail, corporate, investment and merchant banking, short-term life insurance, life insurance, employee benefits, health insurance and asset management. It also has manufacturing and marketing interest in a range of food products with international and local brands such as Robertsons herbs and spices, Knorr soups and Aromat seasoning. |
