| The Group's principal activities are to provide banking, brokerage and investment services, mortgage banking, insurance brokerage and specialty financing services. The other financial services include investment banking, asset management, trust, mutual funds, leasing and other specialty financing. Investment banking and brokerage services are provided through 300 offices of Morgan Keegan & Company Inc. The Regions Mortgage division and its subsidiary, Equifirst provide residential mortgage loan origination and servicing activities to the customers. The Treasury division includes its bond portfolio, indirect mortgage lending division and other wholesale activities. As on 30-Jun-2007, the Group's banking subsidiaries operated 1,900 offices across a 16-state geographic footprint in the South, Midwest and Texas. |
