The Group's principal activity is to provide Internet services in India and the global Indian community. It operates in two segments: India Online Business and US Publishing Business. The India Online business includes online advertising and fee based services. Online advertising includes advertisements and sponsorships and designing and managing customers' websites. Fee based services include e-commerce, subscription services and wireless short messaging services. The U.S. Publishing business includes subscription and advertising services from the publication of India Abroad, India in New York and Rediff.com U.S.A. The Group's websites in India and the U.S. consists of communication services such as e-mail and instant messaging, news and information channels, community features, sophisticated search engines and mobile services.
