| The Group's principal activities are associated with timberland management, the sale, entitlement and development of real estate, and the production and sale of high-value specialty cellulose fibers and fluff pulp. The Group operates in four reportable business segments: Performance Fibers, Timber, Real Estate and Wood Products. Performance fibers include cellulose specialties and absorbent materials. The Timber segment owns, leases or manages approximately 2.5 million acres of timberlands, and sells standing timber and delivers logs. Real estate segment sells land for both future harvesting and real estate development. Wood products segment manufactures and sells lumber and medium-density-fiberboard. It purchases and harvests timber and sells logs and wood panel products. The Group operates in the United States, Europe, Japan, China, New Zealand, Latin America and Canada. |
