The Group's principal activity is to provide credit enhancement to the global financial and capital markets. The Group operates through three segments: Mortgage Insurance, Financial Guaranty and Financial Services. The Mortgage insurance segment provides credit-related insurance coverage, principally through private mortgage insurance, and risk management services. Financial guaranty business provides direct insurance and reinsurance on credit-based risks through Radian Asset Assurance, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Radian Guaranty, and through Radian Asset Assurance's wholly-owned subsidiary, RAAL, located in the United Kingdom. The Financial services provide mortgage investment and servicing firm credit-sensitive, single-family residential mortgage assets and residential mortgage-backed securities.
