| The Company's principal activity is to manufacture synthetic and blended spun yarn and fabric and apparel. The Company operates under two segments: Yarn and Fabric and Apparel. Under the Yarn segment, it offers one of the broadest ranges of products in terms of fibre blends, counts and shades. Fibres processed by the Company include polyester, viscose, acrylic, cotton, wool, rayon, silk, polyamide and linen. In addition it also produces a range of speciality products made out of both unorthodox fibres, e.g. Soya protein and bamboo, and branded fibres such as Tencel and Lycra. Many of these types of yarn have functional qualities. They are flame resistant, anti-bacterial, anti-static, odour preventive and UV protective. Under the Fabric and Apparel segment, the Company undertakes the production of readymade garments in its new plant near Bangalore. The Group operates in India, Europe, Middle East and America. |
