The Group's principal activity is providing environmental consultancy and related services including environmental planning, environmental engineering, safety, health and safety, occupational hygiene and design. It operates in three segments: Energy, Planning & Development and Environmental management. The Energy segment provides consultancy services on an international basis to the oil and gas industries from bases in the United Kingdom, United States, Canada, Australia, Malaysia and Singapore. Planning & development business the provides consultancy services in respect of town and country planning, building, landscape and urban design, transport planning and environmental assessment. The Group's environmental management business provides consultancy services in respect of health, safety and water management. On 12-Dec-2008, it acquired Business and Environmental Communications Ltd.
