The Group's principal activity is to provide competitive broadband services. It delivers all-digital and high-definition video, high-speed internet and premium voice services primarily to Residential and Small and Medium Business (SMB) customers under the brand names of RCN and RCN Business Services. The Group serves approximately 428,000 residential and small and medium business customers. In addition, through the RCN Metro Optical Networks business unit, the Group delivers fiber-based high-capacity data transport services. The primary service areas include Washington DC, Philadelphia, Lehigh Valley, New York City, Boston and Chicago.
