The Group's principal activiy is providing retail and commercial banking and lending services. It involves providing deposit account services, the extension of mortgages and consumer lending, hire purchase and leasing, providing financing to purchasers of licensed public vehicles such as taxis and public light buses, providing services and financing activities for customers in trading, manufacturing and various business sectors, foreign exchange activities, centralised cash management for deposit taking and lending, interest rate risk management, management of investments in securities and the overall funding management. Other activities include wealth management services, stockbroking and securities management, trading of taxi cabs, letting of investment properties and investment holding. The Group operates in Hong Kong, Mainland China and Taiwan.
