The Group's principal activity is engaging in the research and development of drug delivery products, initially in ophthalmology and oncology. It owns and licenses biomaterial and drug delivery patents granted in the United States and Europe such as Durasert, BioSilicon and CODRUG. Its products include Vitasert, a drug implant for the treatment of AIDS-related Cytomegalovirus Retinitis; Retrisert, an intravitreal drug implant for the treatment of chronic non-infectious Uveitis; and Medidur, which is currently in Phase III clinical trials for the treatment of Diabetic Macular Edema. It also has pre-clinical development products for the treatment of age-related macular degeneration and retinitis pigmentosa. The Group has operations in the United Kingdom, Australia, Singapore and the United States, and has partnership collaborations with Chiron Vision Corp, Bausch & Lomb Inc, Alimera Sciences and Pfizer. The Group is headquartered in Perth, Western Australia.
