The Group's principal activity is to manufacture polyester (PET) film and PET chips. The PET film is a high performance film made from polyethylene terephthalate resin, which is produced from dimethyl terephthalate/polyethylene terephthalic acid and mono- ethylene glycol. This film is used for packaging, imaging, electrical, magnetic media and others. Packaging of products is primarily for food packaging to ingress of moisture and air. Imaging includes printing films such as layout base, masking film, printing plates, reprographic, microfilms and business graphics. Electrical includes wire and cable wrap for insulation and moisture resistance, membrane touch switches, flexible printed circuits, capacitors and motor insulation. Magnetic media comprises of audio and video tape, computer tape and floppy discs. Others include hot stamping foils, photo-resist, labels and release films.
