The Group's principal activity is to produce, develop and explore oil and natural gas in Colombia and the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin. It operates through three business units: The Canadian Business Unit, The Latin American Business Unit and The Heavy Oil Business Unit. It operates in Canada and Colombia. The Canadian Business Unit has conventional oil and gas operations in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin focused in southeast Saskatchewan, central and northwest Alberta and northeast British Columbia. The Latin American Business Unit, with exploration and development operations in Colombia and Peru. The Heavy Oil Business Unit is unique in the industry for its patented 'THAI' technology, a process that has created a paradigm shift in extraction of bitumen from the oil sands.
