The Group's principal activities are producing and selling oil and gas. Petroleum and gas related activities include exploring, developing, producing and selling crude oil and natural gas, refining, transporting, storing and marketing crude oil and petroleum products, producing and selling basic petrochemical products, derivative products and other chemical products and transmitting natural gas, crude oil, refined products and selling natural gas. Operations are carried out in the People's Republic of China.
