It operates in two segments: Peregrine is engaged in the research and development of monoclonal antibody-based therapies for the treatment of cancer and serious viral infections. Avid is engaged in providing contract manufacturing services for Peregrine and outside customers on a fee-for-service basis. It operates in the United States, Canada and Germany.
