The Group's principal activity is that of an automotive retailer. It operates in three segments: Retail segment includes all automotive dealerships and all departments relevant to the operation of the dealerships. Distribution segment includes its distribution of the smart for two vehicle, parts and accessories in the U.S and Pureto Richo. PAG Investments segment include its investments in non-automotive retail operations.. It also offers a full range of maintenance and repair services, facilitates the sale of third-party finance and insurance products, third-party extended service contracts and replacement and aftermarket products. The premium vehicle brands include Audi, BMW, Cadillac and Porsche. As of 01-Feb-2009, the Group owned and operated 156 franchises in the United States and 148 franchises internationally, primarily in the United Kingdom.
