| The Group's principal activities are to develop, manufacture and market specialty natural-based ingredient systems for industrial and food applications. The Group uses its carbohydrate chemistry expertise to develop ingredients with starch as a base for value-added applications in several markets including papermaking and food products. The Group operates its business through three segments namely: Industrial Ingredients, Food Ingredients and Australian and New Zealand operations. The first two segments are broad categories of end-market users, primarily served by the Group's U.S. operations. The third segment is the geographically separate operations in Australia and New Zealand. The Australian and New Zealand operations are engaged primarily in the food ingredients business. |
