The Group's principal activities are carried out in two segments: Factory-Built Housing: Includes manufactured housing, modular housing and retail operations. Financial Services: Includes finance and insurance operations. At 27-Mar-2009, it operated 9 manufacturing facilities in seven states that sell homes through 86 of the Group-owned retail sales centers and builders locations. Through its subsidiary, CountryPlace Mortgage Ltd, the Group offers installment financing to purchasers of manufactured homes sold by Company-owned retail sales centers and independent retail dealers, builders and developers. It also provides property and casualty insurance through its subsidiary, Standard Casualty Company.
