| The Group's principal activities are those of a holding company in joint ventures and the investments involving shared control mechanisms. The portfolio investments represent private equity investments in major real estate developers. In 2007, the Group acquired interests in the following companies: Goldfarb; Repdi; Cipasa; Jazz; Lindencorp; Brasil Brokers; Tglt and Chl. The joint ventures segment constitutes an SPC (special purpose company) to which the project's funds are allocated and which is wound up when the project is completed and the partners receive the expected revenue. |
