The Group's principal activities are construction, fabrication, repair and conversion, and chartering of ships. The Group operates in three business segments: ship building, ship repair and conversion, and ship chartering. The ship building segment is engaged in constructing small, medium and large offshore and other support vessels. The ship repair and conversion segment is engaged in servicing and converting a range of vessels. The ship chartering segment is engaged in the chartering of offshore support vessels. The Group's strategic focus is on building offshore support vessels such as AHTS vessels and PSV's at its shipyard in Batam, Indonesia and outsourced third party shipyards in China which comply with the technical specifications required to operate in the North Sea, including the requirements of Norwegian Maritime Directorate and Det Norske Veritas. The Group serves an international market with concentration of its chartering activities in the Middle East.
