The Group's principal activities are to discover, develop and market innovative molecular targeted therapies for oncology, diabetes and obesity. The Group's advanced drug Tarceva, an anti-cancer agent is undergoing phase III clinical trials for non-small lung cancer and pancreatic cancer. Tarceva is being developed in a global alliance with Genentech Inc. In addition, it has four other drug candidates in early stages of clinical development. The products of the Group include Novantrone(R) and Gelclair(R).
