The Group's principal activity is that of an independent energy exploration and production company. Exploration activities include geophysical and geological evaluation and exploratory drilling on properties for which the Group has exploration rights. It acquires, explores, develops, and produces crude oil and natural gas. The Group operates throughout major basins in the United States including the Rocky Mountain, the Mid-continent, and the Gulf Coast regions as well as in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico.
