The Group's principal activity is providing clearinghouse services to the North American communications industry. The Addressing services enable communications service providers or CSPs to use critical, shared addressing resources, such as telephone numbers, several Internet domain names, & Common Short Codes. The Interoperability service enables CSPs to exchange and share critical operating data so that communications originating on one provider's network can be delivered and received on the network of another CSP. The Infrastructure and Other services enable CSPs to efficiently manage changes in their own networks by centrally managing certain critical data they use to route communications over their own networks. It also provides clearinghouse services to emerging CSPs, including Internet service providers, cable television operators & voice over Internet protocol or VoIP service providers. On 10-Jan-2008, it acquired Webmetrics, Inc.
