| The Group's principal activities is the design, construction and operation of modern digital telecommunication and data transmission networks. It operates in 1 only segment- Telecommunications, which provides a range of fixed-line telecommunications services including voice, data transmission and Internet access, and wholesale network services. It is also engaged in the installation and supply of specialised mobile radio services. It operates on the basis of its own fiber-optic backbone network, which covers major Polish cities, as well as on the basis of local access networks. The Group develops its own universal mobile telecommunications system (UMTS) network in Poland and providing mobile services under the PLAY brand. It acquired KOM-NET Sp. z o.o, Lanet Sp. z o.o. and MAGMA Sp. z o.o. in 2007 and PUNKT Sp. z o.o. in 2008. |
