| The Group's principal activity is operating surgical and medical private hospital, providing an extensive range of general and specialised medical care services. The Group's operation cover such services as full acute care hospitals and same day surgery, medical assistance, air and telephone medical advisory, healthcare management, diagnostics and imaging, healthcare solutions and renal disease management. The private hospital and trauma services through 68 hospitals and same-day surgical units with 9,046 registered beds, 358 operating theatres and 82 retail and hospital pharmacies, and Netcare 911, providing private emergency service with over nine million members and a fleet of over 500 contracted and owned response vehicle ambulances, three helicopters and three fixed-wing air ambulances. The ancillary healthcare services include primary care services through 106 centres servicing more than 3.4 million patients and diagnostic services. |
