The Group's principal activities are to develop, manufacture and sell a diverse line of products dedicated to food safety testing and animal health applications. The Group operates in two segments: the Food Safety segment, which develops and markets products for the detection of pathogens, natural toxins and other unwanted substances in food and feed products; and the Animal Safety segment, which develops and markets products dedicated to animal health. The majority of these consumable products are marketed through a network of national and international distributors, as well as a number of farm supply retail chains in the United States and Canada. On 30-June-2008, the Group purchased a disinfectant business from DuPont Animal Health Solutions. On 04-May-2009, it acquired International Diagnostic Systems Corporation
