| The Group's principal activity is to produce premium fine papers and technical products. It operates in two segments: Fine paper provides premium writing, text, cover and specialty papers used in corporate identity packages, corporate annual reports, invitations, personal stationery and high-end packaging for point of purchase advertising and Technical products provides transportation and other filter media, durable, saturated and coated substrates for a variety of end uses and nonwoven wall coverings. The products are marketed through various brands such as CLASSIC(R), ENVIRONMENT(R), STARWHITE(R), Gessner(R), JET-PRO(R) SofStretch(TM) and varitess(R). It has paper manufacturing operations in the United States and Germany and approximately 500,000 acres of timberlands in Nova Scotia, Canada. |
