| The Group's principal activity is to provide banking products and services. The Group operates under three segments: Business Banking, Retail Banking and Treasury and Capital Markets. Business Banking provides banking products and services to large sized corporate, financial Institutions and the Government of Bahrain. The Retail Banking segment provides services to individuals. The Treasury and Capital Markets segment manages the bank's liquidity, interest rate, foreign exchange and market risk. Other activities include borrowing and lending in the interbank market, purchase of treasury bills, proprietary dealing and customer related foreign exchange, investments and trading in securities and selling of Bank's own private label funds to clients. The Group operates in Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates. |
