| The Group's principal activities are to manufacture and market component products, chemical and titanium dioxide pigments. It operates through its subsidiaries CompX International Inc and Kronos Worldwide Inc. It operates in three segments. The Security products are used in applications including ignition systems, mailboxes, vending and gaming machines, parking meters, electrical circuit panels, storage compartments, office furniture and medical cabinet security. The Furniture component includes manufacturing of precision ball bearing slides and ergonomic computer support systems for use in applications such as computer-related equipment, appliances, tool storage cabinets, imaging equipment, file cabinets, desk drawers, automated teller machines. The Marine component includes manufacturing and distributing of marine instruments, hardware and accessories for performance boats. The Group operates in the United States, Canada, Taiwan, Germany, Norway, Europe and Asia. |
