| The Group's principal activities are to manufacture and supply cleaning equip, power cables and optical components. It operates in three business segments: NKT Cables, Nilfisk-Advance and NKT Photonics. The NKT Cables segment includes power cables and cable systems for electricity transmission, electricity distribution, and electrical installations. The Nilfisk-Advance segment manufactures and supplies professional cleaning equip by offering products consisting of all sizes of vacuum cleaners, floor care equip in the form of sweepers, washers, dryers, polishers and cleaners, as well as an extensive selection of high pressure cleaners. The NKT Photonics segment provides advanced components, light sources and measuring equipment based on optical fibres. It operates globally in Europe, the U.S., Australia and Asia Pacific. The Group acquired Kablo Elektro, CCC, US Products, Viper Group, Sondergaard Maskinfabrik, Doug Tolson Engineering and WAP South Africa in 2007. |
