| The Group's principal activity is to manufacture, market and distribute vitamins, minerals, herbs, sports nutrition products, diet aids and other nutritional supplements. The Group operates in four segments: Wholesale segment comprises of divisions targeting market groups such as wholesalers, distributors, chains, pharmacies, health food stores, bulk and international customers. The European Retail segment operates through 993 stores which sells proprietary brand and third-party products. The North American Retail segment with 522 stores in the United States and Canada sells proprietary brand and third-party products. The Direct Response/E-Commerce segment offers nutritional supplement through mail order catalog and Internet. It operates in the United States, the United Kingdom, Holland, Ireland, Canada and other foreign countries. On 16-Sep-2008, the Group acquired Julian Graves. |
