| The Group's principal activities are designing, manufacturing and marketing lift trucks and replacement parts. It operates in three segments through its principal operating subsidiaries: NACCO Materials Handling Group ('NMHG'); NACCO Housewares Group ('Housewares') and The North American Coal Corporation ('NACoal'). NMHG designs, engineers, manufactures, sells, services and leases lift trucks and related service parts under the Hyster(R) and Yale(R) brand names. NACCO Housewares Group designs, manufactures and sells small electric kitchen and household appliances as well as commercial products for restaurants, bars and hotels. NACoal mines and sells lignite primarily as fuel for power generation. The customers of the Group include food distributors, trucking and automotive companies, lumber, paper and building materials suppliers, warehouses and container handling companies. The Group operates in the United States, Europe, Australia and Asia. |
