Thomson Financial Business Description:
| The Company's principal activity is that of an Investment Trust. The objective of the Company is to achieve a total return greater than its benchmark by investing predominantly in equities worldwide. The Company is an Investment Company within the meaning of Part VIII of the Companies Act 1985. The Company has been approved by the Inland Revenue as an Investment Trust for the purposes of Section 842 of the Income and Corporation Taxes Act 1988 for the year ended 31-Dec-2006. Investment management services are provided by Aberdeen Asset Managers Ltd for a fee calculated at the rate of 0.5% per annum of the value of total assets, less unlisted investments and all current liabilities excluding monies borrowed to finance the investment objectives of the Company, averaged over the six previous quarters. The agreement may be terminated by either party on the expiry of one year's written notice. |
