| The Group's principal activity is providing support services to clients in developing and managing their infrastructure assets. The Group's operations are carried out in through three divisions. Highways manages, maintains and improves motorways and trunk roads, and develops better local transport services. This division works closely with the Highways Agency and the Scottish Executive to provide people with safe, reliable and informed ways to travel. At the local level this division works in partnership with local authorities and county councils. Regulated Industries focuses on the rail business integrating ServiRail operations and the ongoing position for signalling renewal opportunities with Network Rail. Government Services business comprises the Group's property and regeneration interests, together with the consultancy activities undertaken in the education and housing markets. During 2007, the Group acquired the entire share capital of Traffic Support Ltd. |
