| The Group's principal activity is to provide global specialty property insurance and reinsurance products. It operates in four lines of business: property specialty, property catastrophe, qualifying quota share (QQS) and other specialty. The property specialty category includes risk excess of loss, property pro-rata and direct insurance and facultative reinsurance business. The property catastrophe reinsurance contracts provides protection against natural and man-made catastrophes. The QQS category represents whole account quota share reinsurance to three Lloyd's syndicates. It has market relationships with Marsh and McLennan Companies Inc, Aon Corporation, Benfield plc and Willis Group Holdings Ltd. It has operations in the United States, Canada, Japan, Western Europe, the United Kingdom, Bermuda and Ireland. |
