| The Group's principal activities are manufacturing, marketing and distributing a range of food products of mass consumption. It also exports branded food products to 50 countries around the world. It owns 13 industrial plants and 7 distribution centers located all over Argentina. Products include cooking oil, frozen hamburgers, frozen fish, frozen vegetables, frozen pizza and pasta, dry and chilled pasta, fortified semolina, bread crumbs and breading, frankfurters, rice, flours, gelatin and cake premixes, yerba mate tea, margarine, cold cuts, pastries and pie shells. Brands include Matarazzo, Lucchetti, Vienissima, Patitas, Granja del Sol, Preferido, Exquisita, Cocinero, Favorita, Blancaflor, Nobleza Gaucha, Maximo, Manty, Don Vicente, Good Mark, Lira, Minerva, Vitina, Gallo, among others. In December 2007, the Group acquired 83.34% shares of Grupo Estrella SA and 100% shares of Virgilio Manera SAICyF. |
