The Group's principal activity is to broadcast television and radio programs. The Group operates through four segments: Viasat Broadcasting, MTG Radio, Home Shopping and Modern Studios. The Viasat Broadcasting is a free-to-air and pay-TV broadcaster offering DTH satellite TV platform and multi-channel digital TV packages. MTG Radio is commercial radio operator with operations in Sweden, Norway and the Baltic states. Home Shopping operates in TV home shopping across Europe, but also an on-line retailing site that sells CDs, DVDs, electronic games, music downloads and books. Modern Studios produces and distributes television programs and films. In 2008, the Group acquired Nova Televizia in Bulgaria, Gymgrossisten Nordic AB and DTV Group.
