The Group's principal activity is the provision of banking and other financial services. On 31-Mar-2009, it consisted of the parent company, a pure holding company to manage and administer the businesses of its banking, trust banking and specialist securities subsidiaries, as well as to provide ancillary business. The Group has 256 domestic and overseas consolidated subsidiaries, and 60 associated companies.
