The Group's principal activity is the management of business portfolio of the MCHC Group, including the formulation of the Group strategies, financial resource allocation, budgeting, and others. The Group is formed by Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation ("MCC") and Mitsubishi Pharma Corporation ("MPC"). MCC's business operations are based on the three pillars of petrochemicals, performance products (performance and functional products), and health care (diagnostic reagents and instruments, clinical testing, and others). Whereas MPC creates truly innovative pharmaceuticals in three focused areas: the cardiovascular system and metabolism, the central nervous system, the respiratory system and immunology; and a future focused area of cancer and hepatic diseases. The operations are carried out through following divisions: Petrochemicals; Functional chemicals; Functional materials; Healthcare products and Services.
