The Group's principal activities are developing, manufacturing and marketing specialty minerals, mineral-based and synthetic mineral products. The Group operates in two segments: Specialty minerals and Refractories. The Specialty minerals segment produces and sells the synthetic mineral product precipitated calcium carbonate and the processed mineral product quicklime. The Group also mines, processes and sells natural mineral products, limestone and talc. The Refractories segment produces and markets monolithic and shaped refractory materials and specialty products and services. The Refractories segment produces and markets monolithic and shaped refractory materials and specialty products, services and application and measurement equipment, and calcium metal and metallurgical wire products.The Group operates in the United States, Canada, Latin America, Europe, Africa and Asia.
