The Group's principal activity is that of a major developer and operator of cellular telephone systems. The Group develops and operates cellular telephone networks throughout the world. Currently the Group operates in 16 countries within Central America, South America, Africa and Asia. The Group operates with the Tigo brand in 14 of its markets. The Group acquired Amnet Telecommunications Holding Limited in 2008.
