| The Group's principal activity is to develop, manufacture and market both implantable and disposable medical devices used in the treatment of cerebral vascular diseases associated with stroke and other disease. The products are used by interventional neuroradiologists and neurosurgeons primarily to treat cerebral aneurysms responsible for hemorrhagic stroke, a significant cause of death and disability worldwide. These products consist of an endovascular system that enables a physician to gain access to the brain in a minimally invasive manner through the vessels of the circulatory system. The Group markets these products through its direct sales force in North America and parts of Europe and through distributors in the major markets in Europe, Latin America, Asia and the Middle East. |
