| The Group's principal activities are to develop, manufacture and distribute the pharmaceuticals and chemicals. The Group has two major segments: Pharmaceutical and Chemical. Pharmaceutical segment consists of Ethical's and Consumer health care. The Ethical's division focuses on the development of oncology products. The Consumer Health Care division offers such international brands as Cebion, Multibionta, Omnibionta, Femibion, Sangiobion and Diabion, as well as the pro-biotic multi-vitamin preparation BION 3. Chemical segment consists of Liquid crystals, Performance and Life Science chemicals. The Liquid crystal's division of the Group is leading manufacturer of LCD materials and continuously developing customer-specific liquid crystal mixtures. The division Performance & Life Science Chemicals has core business of Laboratories, Life Science Solutions and Pigments. As on 2-October-2007, the Generics business division were completely sold off. |
