| The Company's principal activities are the execution, settlement and guaranty of stock trades. It is empowered to apply disciplinary sanctions to the stock brokers or brokerage firms that do not observe the rules and procedures set by the Stock Market System as a result of the application of Act #17.811, on Public Securities Offering, and the regulations issued by the Company itself. It regulates, coordinates and implements each and every aspect related to securities trading, the kinds of securities and trading-mechanisms available, the terms of payment, and the like. It also has in place a Market Surveillance system to follow-up trading in real-time and detect eventual irregularities that due to any characteristic may call the attention of experts in the area. |
