The Group's principal activity is improving and monitoring the progress of the companies in their investment portfolio, adopting a long term investment approach. The Group aim is to maintain a strong influence over the portfolio companies through a significant ownership stake in listed or unlisted companies. Value creation in the Company is based on active management of current portfolio companies as well as investments in new acquisitions with potential for value growth. At the end of 2008, the Group's major shareholdings were in AB Bong Ljungdahl AB, Hexagon AB, Securitas AB, Niscayah AB and HEXPOL AB.
