The Group's principal activity is the marketing and sales of pharmaceutical products, self-medication products, medical devices, anaesthetic and nutrition products. The Group operates through one operation segment called Pharma. Pharma markets and sales its own and in-licensed drugs in the therapeutic areas of pain/inflammation, gastroenterology, cardiology/diabetes and odontology. The Group operates worldwide. In 2008, the Group acquired Ellem Lakemedel AB and Valeants pharmaceutical divisions in western and eastern Europe.
