Thomson Financial Business Description:
| The Group's principal activities are production, distribution, marketing, import and export of beef and beef by-products. It produces and distributes fresh, frozen and processed beef products and other types of food products like: frozen pre-cooked potato chips, pork and lamb cuts, frozen vegetables, poultry fish, ready meals and pastas. It also deals with the production, distribution and marketing of soaps, disinfectants, conditioners and other hygiene and cleaning products. As of February 2008, it has 18 cattle slaughtering units (9 in Brazil, 5 in Argentina and 4 in Uruguay), 13 processing plants (6 in Brazil, 4 in Argentina, 2 in Uruguay and 1 in Chile) 3 lamb slaughtering units (Chile and Uruguay), 4 hog slaughtering units (Brazil) and 3 trading houses (U.S., Chile and United Kingdom). |
