| The Group's principal activity is involving in the business of banking and finance. It has four business segments, including: Banking, Investment Banking, Insurance and Takaful, and Others. Its Banking segment provides savings and fixed deposits, remittance services, short-term credit and others. Its Investment Banking segment offers direct lending, advisory banking services, equity financing, mergers and acquisitions advisory services and others. Its Insurance and Takaful segment includes underwriting general and life insurance businesses, offshore investment life insurance business, general takaful and family takaful businesses. It also provides asset and fund management, nominee and trustee services and custodian services. Operations are carried out in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines, Papua New Guinea, Brunei Darussalam, the People's Republic of China, Hong Kong SAR, Vietnam, the United Kingdom, the United States of America, Cambodia and Bahrain. |
