| The Group's principal activity is providing investment banking, commercial banking and retail financial services in Australia and selected financial services offshore. It operates through the following business segments: Asset and Wealth Management; Financial Markets; Investment Banking; and Lending. Asset and Wealth Management involves the distribution and manufacture of funds management products. Financial Markets includes trading in fixed income, equities, currency, commodities and derivative products. Investment Banking involves corporate and structured finance, advisory, underwriting, facilitation, broking and real estate and property development. Lending pertains to banking activities, mortgages, margin lending and leasing. |
