The Group's principal activity is to provide advanced information solutions that capture and process large amounts of data, produce essential information, and improve the decision-making and operational performance of business and government organizations worldwide. It operates through two segments: Information Systems and Information Products. The Information systems segment provides mission-critical information systems for three major application areas: monitoring the planet, defence and robotics. The Information products segment delivers essential land information products that are used by businesses involved in real estate transactions and by organizations involved in land, resource and transportation management. The Group operates in Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom and Other countries. In March 2008, MDA acquired Richards Gray Holdings Ltd.
