MTZ Transmash OAO (Moskovskiy Tormoznyi Zavod OAO or MTZ Transmash OJSC) is a Russia-based company, the main activity of which is the production of spare parts for transportation means. The Company manufactures, sells, and distributes brake systems for freight and passenger carriages, locomotives, motor coach rolling-stock, high-speed and extra high-speed trains and rolling-stock for underground railways. It is also involved in the production of mechanic and electro-mechanic equipment for the traffic control. Its main customers are plants involved in the construction and repair of electric locomotives, as well as enterprises producing tramways, trolley buses and railroad cars and the Russian Railways. The Company operates through two subsidiaries, as well as one affiliated company, Transpribor ZAO. The Company distributes its products domestically, as well as exports them to approximately 30 countries.
